The Cessna Citation X is an American business jet produced by Cessna that made its maiden flight in 1993. The Citation X was the first aircraft from Cessna to use a Rolls-Royce engine and fully integrated avionics.
Your assignment is to guide aircraft of various sizes and capabilities to and from the active runway for landing and takeoff. As a tower controller you must assure that it safe for a plane to enter or cross a runway, assign taxiway routes, when to stop and start movement, and clear aircraft for take off.

Freeflight: In this option you can set up a custom flight scenario. Pick a plane and start flying, or customize the experience with additional options. The Freeflight section has additional details.
Modify Flight: Tap this to modify the flight conditions. Similar to the initial Freeflight screen, weather, time of day & failures can be adjusted here. Tap the plane icon in the bottom right corner to return to the flight. Note this option is not available in tutorials or challenges.
You can adjust the Payload Weight to simulate passengers, baggage or cargo. An airplane can typically stay in the air at very high weights, but it will have a hard time getting off the ground initially.
VOR signals (that is, signals from a Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range transmitter) were the next chronological step in navigational technology. VOR transmitters work by sending a series of 360 discrete little carrier tones on a main frequency. Each of these carriers is oriented along a different radial from the station, one of 360 just like on a compass rose. Thus, when a pilot is flying along and tunes in the main VOR frequency, s/he then fine tunes the navigation display to tell which of the 360 radials the aircraft is flying, and also whether the transmitter station is in front of or behind the plane.
For small, general aviation planes, select the country the aircraft is registered in from the drop down, then type in up to five additional characters. For airliners, your callsign should be your airline and flight number (e.g., American flight 123 would have a registration of AAL 123). You can also reset to default or randomize the registration if desired.
VOR navigation: Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range navigation; this is navigation based on radio signals sent out by a VOR beacon. Light airplanes often track these signals using an Omni-Bearing Indicator, or OBI.
I am really loving the xplane 12 beta , despite the bugs , glitches ( which of course is expected ) the lighting and atmosphere is really great , it is extremely immersive and incredible when you get stuck in a storm cell , Daniella has done a phernomal job on Audio . I think some people do not realise how much work and how complex it is redo the rendering pipeline , photometric lighting ect
As for FSR, I have an AMD 5700XT eGPU on an Intel MacMini, and thick clouds are a real FPS killer, so I thought FSR might help but if I put a lower setting for FSR the graphics is blurry and pixelated. I have a 4k monitor. So how should I set it up for FSR? Have a native 4k resolution on the monitor (that is, set in macOS) and set a smaller one in the simulator, for example fullhd? Thanks for any clarification.
Have you thought about versioning the flightmodel? That way we could simply enjoy the new engine of XP12 with the well known and tested FMs for existing planes.This may also give Austin more room to play around with experimental versions and would allow gradual improvements over the 12 run.
I noticed some plugins like AVITAB for Xplane 12 pop out window works sometimes when you click on the item in the plugin list. for me it does not pop out in full screen mode at all but does in window mode . It sometimes stop working in window mode as well. Same thing for Xchecklist (although this is from XP11 so that may be a version issue). Please advise what info should i send to you to help .System
I agree. The cockpits seem much too dark, making it almost impossible to read anything, even if it is bright outside. I never sat in the cockpit of an airplane, but if I sit in a car during a bright day, the interior is also quite bright. Therefore, the dark interior of the cockpit not only feels unrealistic but also bad from a usability point of view.

Hi,First congratulations on the X-Plane 12 early access publication.Although there are chalanges ahead, I think that the in plane textures, especially the gauges must be clear and with the highest quality possible.Currently xp11 produces sharper and clearer gauges textures vs xp12 (I already filed bug report).
The absolute worst thing about x-plane 10, in my opinion, were the cockpit view limitations. In many aircraft, you just couldn't get the cockpit view that would allow you to see well enough over the panel to fly the darned thing. I finally just gave up after several hundred hours in sims. It seems to me that all the programmers would have to do is to write code that hides the seat polygons, or even leave the top of the seat out altogether.HAS THIS ISSUE BEEN ADDRESSED?? I would certainly hope so.By the way, if you are wondering, I am not a novice to aviation, either in actual aircraft or flt sims. I was an army, Vietnam, helicopter pilot in both gunships and slicks and then an instructor pilot when I returned to Fort Wolters, Texas. I'm commercially rated in rotary wing and have private privileges in single engine, fixed wing, land. My flight time is in the thousands of hours. So, I'm sure that if this is troublesome for me, there are a lot of other people who have the same complaint.
I totally agree with croc2 comment the cockpit views are limited and teye should remove the seat since it blocks your outside view in the 3D cockpit in the zoom in i hope rthis was address in Xplane 11
Hi guys! I downloaded the demo with no problems. I am running it on a windows 7 system with 8 gigs of ram.The graphics are unbelievable compared to FSX. I flew the default Cessna in a thunderstorm and when thelightning cracked and the thunder rolled, I almost jumped out of my skin. Great job guys However, I am stillthinking about purchasing it. The reason being, is that I have a ton of FSX planes in my hanger. I know eventually there will be a better selection of aircraft for X-Plane. I will let everyone know if and when I dopurchase it.
I map NUMPAD5 to my normal out the window view, and a second view on NUMPAD 8 that is a little higher and a little further forward (like I were sitting up very straight and leaning forward a bit to see over the glareshield/nose of the plane. 7 is forward and left, 9 is forward and right and up a bit, 6 is Co-Pilot's seat, 4 is Autopilot controls, 1 is throttle controls, 2 is Big Six (for IMC conditions), 3 is Light Controls. 2ff7e9595c
